Flame propagation in a closed tube over mixtures of chloromethane and chlorine of different compositions following ignition by continuous UV radiation is studied. It is found that the rate of combustion in all mixtures except limiting ones grows along with the propagation of the flame front up to its maximum values at nearly 1/3 the tube length and then slows. In limiting mixtures, the speed’s behavior is completely different. It is greatest near the source of UV light and gradually slows with distance from the source. The high speed in the initial section is due to the effect of UV light. The temperature of combustion is lowest in limiting mixtures, and the rate of chlorine molecule photodissociation at this temperature is comparable to and even faster than that of their thermal dissociation. The light in these mixtures thus contributes substantially to the initiation of the chemical reaction. It is concluded that when limiting mixtures are ignited by UV pulses, the speed of flame propagation falls markedly as it proceeds without the influence of radiation, and the character of changes in the speed’s behavior becomes identical to those for other mixtures.  相似文献

The introduction of small amounts of oxygen inhibits the photoinduced ignition of chloromethane–chlorine mixtures. This is accompanied by an increase in the induction period and a decrease in the degree of heating of the reaction mixture. After the consumption of the entire inhibitor, the photochlorination reaction takes place again in the thermal explosion regime but with a lower degree of heating. In the dependence of the mixture temperature on the oxygen concentration, criticality is not pronounced. With an increasing concentration of oxygen, its effect on the induction period weakens.  相似文献

Time-resolved K(α) spectroscopy has been used to infer the hot-electron equilibration dynamics in high-intensity laser interactions with picosecond pulses and thin-foil solid targets. The measured K(α)-emission pulse width increases from ~3 to 6 ps for laser intensities from ~10(18) to 10(19) W/cm(2). Collisional energy-transfer model calculations suggest that hot electrons with mean energies from ~0.8 to 2 MeV are contained inside the target. The inferred mean hot-electron energies are broadly consistent with ponderomotive scaling over the relevant intensity range.  相似文献

The results of experiments on the interaction of laser radiation pulses (at intensities of up to 1015 W cm−2) of different durations (t = 3ps; 300ps; 30ns) with targets in a vacuum chamber are presented. An investigation was made of the optical characteristics of laser plasma in vacuum ultraviolet and X-ray ranges. The intensity of the laser-produced plasma radiation in the range 1–50nm was estimated to be 1010–1012W cm−2. A high-contrast preamplifier based on optical-parametric amplification with a short pump pulse is demonstrated. A gain larger than 10(5) and measurement-limited contrast higher than 10(11) are obtained over a large temporal range extending within less than 10 ps of the peak of the pulse, because of the high instantaneous parametric gain provided by a short pump pulse in a nonlinear crystal. The energy gain and high contrast of this preamplifier make it a good seed source for high-power laser systems.  相似文献

High-conversion-efficiency, high-stability optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification is demonstrated with a spatiotemporally shaped pump laser system. Broadband 5-mJ pulses are produced at a 5-Hz repetition rate with a pump-to-signal conversion efficiency of 29% and energy stability better than 2% rms. To our knowledge this is the highest conversion efficiency and stability achieved in an optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification system.  相似文献

The free-radical copolymerization of N-vinylpyrrolidone with N,N-diallyl-N′-acetylhydrazine and N,N-diallyl-N′-butanoylhydrazine has been investigated in bulk and solution. The copolymerization yields random copolymers enriched with N-vinylpyrrolidone units. The kinetic study of the reaction has revealed that the rate of copolymerization decreases with a rise in the fraction of an allyl monomer in the initial monomer mixture. Both double bonds of diallylacylhydrazines are involved in the copolymerization to give rise to five-membered pyrrolidine rings.  相似文献
